Sum Chi speculates on the danger he is to face on the long way back to the court, and decides to seek help from General Tit of Shanxi. Ngo Shan, becoming feeble, wanders around and meets his daughter Yan Yan, who begs Sum Hung to let him stay in White Lotus Sect. Ngo Shan leaks out their hiding place to Kay Yuk, who sends his army to raid them. Sum Hung is arrested; while Kuan Wah helps the others escape. Sum Chi finally comes to see General Tit, who promises to escort Sum Chun back to the palace. Kay Yuk orders Ngo Shan to cast a spell on Sum Hung, turning him into a walking dead.
