Upon arrival, she is met by Marco—Daniel’s partner, whose existence she had known nothing about. Their shared trek through the dense countryside and remote Guatemalan wilderness—initially marked by mistrust and a struggle for control—slowly evolves into a moving confrontation with her own preconceptions about her late son and questions regarding the boundaries of intimacy.
