The Secret of the Golden Flower

Synopsis

Behind every performance lies a story that begins long before the curtains open. This documentary follows the creative process, preparation, and rehearsals of Arqué Centro de Dança for O Segredo da Flor de Ouro (The Secret of the Golden Flower). Through the stories of women, children, and those responsible for turning the idea into reality — Alexandre, the screenwriter, and Gabi, the choreographer — we discover the dreams, challenges, discoveries, and emotions that shape this journey. Between rehearsals, backstage moments, and personal testimonies, the film gradually reveals how an idea becomes movement, and how each person involved leaves their own mark on the creation of the performance. Until the moment arrives when everything that was imagined, rehearsed, and experienced finally finds its way onto the stage. And the flower, at last, blooms.
